So the season was going pretty well, then two losses in three weeks and then the bottom drops out…. Pennington is out for 2-4 weeks.
Not that I said anything, but when Pennington made the statement “it is a charley horse in my shoulder that keeps getting worse.” I didn't think that was very good. I started to think about Santana Moss, his injury had started that way.
This certainly isn't very good going into a game against the fearsome Baltimore Defense, but the silver lining is that Quincy Carter is a seasoned Quarterback (seasoned at losing) who hopefully will be a fair replacement for the next few weeks. As long as the Jets can get back to running the ball, and setting up for the pass, the Jets can be competitive while Pennington is out.
