Surgeon says Chad Will be Fine - NY Newsday
According to doctors, Chad's and his shoulder will be find for
camp, but his shoulder will never be what it once was. This from a guy
who never had a cannon to begin with…
Today, Dr. Elliot Pellman, the team doctor for the Jets will
address the media, in a rare press conference. Most seem to think that
Chad will make a recovery to allow him to be ready for camp this
summer. Knowing his work-ethic, expect him to do his best to ensure his
ability to play. Regarding the operation:
DiNubile said rotator cuff surgery is common in
the latter stages of quarterbacks' and pitchers' careers but rare for
someone Pennington's age. “It's not a great situation for a 28-year-old
quarterback,” DiNubile said. “Rotator cuff surgery for a quarterback
that young is unusual.”
