O'Donnell: Chad & Heimerdinger Will Mesh
Ex-Jet: Chad will like new system – Randy Lange
Neil
O'Donnell, who has been a broadcaster for the Titans thinks that Chad
Pennington and Heimerdinger will get along well. O'Donnell predicts
some friction, but knows that his expectation of perfection is a good
thing.
“Mike wants to be out
there in March, April, the first time the sun comes out, tossing the
football around. He wants his quarterbacks out there. He's a big
off-season guy.“I'm sure Chad will be able to learn it all in the classroom, but
you won't be able to execute it unless you see it and do it. That will
hurt Chad, but hopefully he'll be ready to go on Day One of camp.”“One thing about Mike, he's very, very disciplined,” O'Donnell
said. “If you're supposed to get 11 yards, you'd better get 11 yards,
don't get 10. He instills that discipline and he wants it to carry
over to the game. Justin McCareins [another former Titan] is a great
route runner and I think a lot of that comes from Mike Heimerdinger.”
