From looking at a couple different mock
draft boards, the 2005 draft will be interesting for the Jets. Some
boards have the Jets taking TE Heath Miller or Alex Smith, while others think that Carlos Rogers will help the secondary.

It stands to reason to look into the free agent market (1 & 2) to see how the Jets can fill the gaps before the draft.

Unless the Jets sign a Tight End between now and the draft, think
the Jets will try to gun for Miller or Smith, but if there is a
signing, then I think that the Jets will look for a young cover corner
and fill the gaps on the O & D lines by free-agency.
