Here comes the big announcement.
The
site is moving, not far, but imagine this move as moving from a shanty
to an MTV-style Crib. True, like any new construction project, we
are finishing up, but I think the site is ready for move-in. So
bear with us as we put some final tweaks on the new site.
To
start, for the past few months, I have been corresponding with Matt
Cerrone of metsblog.com. His idea is to bring new order to the “New
York Sports Universe”, one team at a time, and the first team he wants
to do this with is the Jets (Matt is an avid Jets fan as well).
Starting
with his metsblog.com site, he has been able to bring hundreds of
thousands of visitors to his site a month (I just had my best at
23,000). Along the way, Matt has done some cool stuff in terms of
working with media contacts and the Mets organization. I would
not be going far to say that Matt has legitimized his site as the nexus
of the universe for Mets fans on the web. Our goal is to recreate the work that he has already done to better serve you the reader.
So update your RSS feeds and change your bookmarks, cause this site is going big-time.
So, from now on, please either use the www.thejetsblog.com address, or the new thejetsblog.blogharbor.com address.
There will be some changes in terms of the way we use comments and such, but I hope you will catch on quickly.
So,
this is not the end, but only the beginning, the beginning of something
BIG and we hope you will continue to share in this adventure. The
new and bigger team looks forward to hearing your thoughts
more and more, as we bring you closer to the New York Jets.
