News: Not Much Fire in The Locker Room

by Bassett on November 1st, 2005 at 1:51 pm

Ken Berger writes that the mood at the Jets' practice facility was rather sullen yesterday, as coach and players got back to task and started working to face their next opponent, the 6-1 Chargers.  Writes Beger:

…the Jets' locker room wasn't exactly overflowing with emotion, either. Resignation was more like it.

A rather matter-of-fact statement from defensive end Shaun Ellis
– “Enough talking. We've been talking too much” — had to pass for an
outburst.

Martin even stated that there were “in-house problems”
that needed to be addressed… what exactly is he referring
to?   It's obvious it's something fixable, so one would think
that injuries  are out of the question… Execution? Chemistry?

Apparently, Edwards did state yesterday that anyone not giving an
“acceptable” level of performance, would be benched from here on out.

Can you bench an entire offensive line?
