TJB Contest: Guess the Roster
It's cutdown eve, which means it's time for another thejetsblog.com contest. The last contest we ran was a draft day prediction contest, which was won by Will. This time, your task is to try and predict the 53-man roster on opening day as accurately as possible.
The rules are as follows:
To enter, cut and paste the roster below into the comments section and amend it according to how you think the final roster will look. You get a point for each one you get wrong and the lowest total wins the contest. As a tie-breaker, name the 8 guys you think will go on the practice squad (anyone who had not been on a team's active roster for more than 9 regular season games in any season is eligible).

*Wright makes the team over Newhouse due to his performance on special teams (flexibility, baby). GM T-Bomb referenced Wright by name during a pre-game interview yesterday as an unheralded player that has caught the coaches’ eye.
**Dearth’s status is tenuous, IMO. Dreesen can long snap and delivers more as a TE.
***Schlegel has looked terrible. He will make the team due to his third-round status. He should be on the Alan Harper Practice Squad.
****50-50 chance he makes it through waivers.
*****Praised by Mangini. Broken hand assures he’ll pass through waivers and make it to the AHPS
It would be impressive, in a way, if every healthy draft pick makes the active roster, as you suggest.
