Doesn’t an interviewee dictate the line of questioning by choosing what to answer and what to ignore? If a guy isn’t going to answer any more questions about his injuries, I see nothing wrong with announcing that and then telling the next guy who asks anyway to again stop asking.

According to Leberfeld, apparently an interviewer has the right to poke and prod endlessly until he gets every bit of information out of the poor interviewee. Without question.

    What a jerk.

Banks takes another unwarranted cheap shot at our Jets. You can only beat who you play. For the record here are the W/L records vs. winning teams for the playoff contenders. Note that most have 2 or fewer wins vs. winning teams, so Jets are not that different than the others.

    SD – 4-2
    BAL 3-1
    IND -4-0
    NE 2-3
Jets 1-3, but the one win was GREAT!!!!
    KC 3-2

    CHI 2-1
    Sea 1-2
    NO 2-1
    Phi 2-2
    Dal 1-3
NYG 2-6 , by far the most games vs. winning clubs, albeit all but one vs. the minor league NFC.

I hate Dan Leberfeld! This guy is such a clown running his PAY-PER-VIEW Jets Condfidential site, which is full of useless information you can find anywhere and not have to pay for it. I remember watching him interview one of the Jets over the summer and he just kept pressing the guy for some kind of negative answer. He’s always trying to put a negative spin on something. Could you imagine what Coles would have done to him if he really wanted to, I don’t think there would be much of Mr. Leberfeld left.

A reporter can ask anything, but that doesn’t mean Coles has to answer it. Leberfeld, if you don’t like the way Coles answered, tough. That doesn’t give you the right to make an ass of yourself by challenging it. If I were Mangini, Leberfeld would be banned from the locker room after this. In the words of Curt Schilling, “that’s a stupid idiotic comment to make!” It seems like the press has a lot of those.

Since I live in New England I have some news about the Pats. The Boston Heral is reporting that Patriots Safety Rodney Harrison has a sprained MCL and will not play for the Jets game this week. Here’s the link:

    http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/view.bg?articleid=174836

He was hit in what is a “legal” but very questionable shot to the knee by one of the Titans. I hate to see this kind of a cheap shot, but if anyone deserves it, its Harrison. He has the reputation of being a head-hunter and I’m also glad he won’t be in against us. Nothing personal.

Another article from the Herald too. In this one, Belichick apparently refers to us as “the Jets.” It also says that we are the Pats best road forward in the playoffs. That’s funny, I see them in the same way. It’s interesting to see the way the other side sees us. I’m glad I have access to it, especially if we win. Can you say “bulletin board material”!!
