Links: Just Pray AJ Smith is Swamped with TPS Reports

So far, no paperwork is into the league office on Michael Turner, let’s hope it stays that way…- If you haven’t seen Cimini’s list of best and worst free agents it’s definitely humorous and worth checking out.
- Brad Johnson and Jamal Lewis were waived, I’m not interested, just saying…
- Gary Myers let’s you know that this free agency is going to be boooo-ring.
- Hutch takes a look at the market for running back.
- Dr. Pellman the Jets doctor, who hasn’t been as tough on concussions (that’s putting it mildly) as he should have been, has stepped down from the NFL panel.

Pellman stepping down is in line with the Jets media control philososphy. Rightly or wrongly (I believe the former), he brought plenty of unwanted media attention to the organization. Made the team look inept in hiring a team doc with questionable qualifications, which was compounde by the infamous Toon and Chrebet situations.
Unfortunately, Pellman is still on the panel. He only resigned his chairmanship. The NY Times story captures well his ethically-challenged penchant for fabrication.
“The false statements included a claim to have a medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, when he actually attended medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico…”

He strikes me as a smile and a shoeshine sports groupie, probably a hale fellow well met, but the last person in the world you would want evaluating your brain.
I really can’t understand why the Jets continue have him on their staff, particularly after he allowed Herm to run Curtis to death on a bum knee.
