So what about the defense? Word is from Tom Rock on his blog, that David Bowens seems likely to become a Jet
DE David Bowens met with the Jets today – as of 5 p.m. they were still meeting, in fact — and his agent Harold Lewis said Bowens was very impressed with the Jets and their direction. He also said the Jets have told him that they are equally impressed by Bowens … The next step is to work out an offer and an acceptance – something both sides seem to want – and finalize a contract … but it sounds as if Bowens will soon be wearing the Green and White of the Jets.
The question then is, where does Bowens play? At 6’3″ 265 pounds, he could play on a four man front, but are the Jets looking to convert him to a linebacker?

Sounds like another peg. Another DE/LB hybrid?
I expect many more of these to come. -
DBO is a great player and would have double digit sacks if he weren’t stuck behind Jason Taylor he will be a big suprise in a good way similiar to Jerricho Cotchery.

I am a big fan of Bowens who is also a personal friend of mines. He seems excited to be a part of a team and i am proud of him and will continue to watch him play as a Jet. He will continue to be a great person on and off the field, you guys are lucky to have him.
