No more NFL Europa? I can’t believe the name change didn’t rejuvenate the league. Goodness knows what this means for “the internet’s best (and only*) Jets-centric NFL Europe/a recap that no-one reads EVER!!!”

*except for the one that Randy Lange started doing for the Jets Official site last week

Pretenders? The reasoning is flawed. First the Jets also drafted Harris; who may help we won’t know until the season or even pre-season.

Other than injuries Pennington playing well is no mystery or surprise. That is just an asinine comment.

And HELLOOOO…there are like 40 D linemen on the roster now. Did I miss that? Maybe they won’t help immensely but saying they haven’t done anything is wrong. Maybe nothing amazing but Coleman would have an issue with that at least.

Finally, if Mangini “willed” the team to victories why wouldn’t he be able to do it again? Especially now that the team believes and is more accustomed to a new system. Goofy article.

I agree with RK. Perhaps there’s a reason you hadn’t heard of that site, Bassett.

I think the NFL is responsible for the failure of NFL Europe.

Imagine what would have happened if two or three NFL franchises backed each team.

1.) I would love to see assistant coaches given the chance to be coaches and Coordinators and upcoming coordinators and coaches hire as HC as a job training program. Moreover, if our players are assigned to a team, if our coaches are there too, it is more likely they will develop properly.

    2. As opposed to the McChesney’s why not send players who really need a chance to develop. From our team, Brad Smith, Stacey Tutt, and Kellen Clemens should have been assigned. Brad might have come back tired but he might know more about how to be a WR (especially if a Jets coach was helping). Kellen is not likely to play this year either but at least he’d have a season under his belt.

    3. Why not use this as a training ground for better NFL officials. Game film to evaluate officials would offer a chance for younger wanna be’s a major opportunity to learn, be evaulated, and strut their stuff.

The NFL saw this as a problem and not an opportunity. So it goes…

I’m glad the likes of Tutt and Smith were over in the States learning the system personally. The one guy who would benefit probably is McChesney because he’s learning a new position and less concerned with schemes at this stage of his development.

Of course, if teams had coaches allocated there too, as you suggest, this would work a lot better. I think they already do use it to develop officials (and to test proposed rules changes).
