The Jets have picked up Danny Ware, former Georgia Bulldog Running Back off of waivers. Ware was signed to the Titans, and subsequently cut when the Jets picked up the runner.
The Jets are likely giving Ware a look as his strength for the Jets would be his ability to work between the tackles, as opposed to around them like the first two running backs on the depth chart. More likely Ware’s size and pounding skills, combined with decent hands on short passes seem to make him more suited for Fullback at the NFL level. Combine all that with the fact that the Jets waived former Virginia Tech Fullback Jesse Allen, and things start to make more sense as to why the Jets picked up Ware for camp. He is Cedrick Houston without the production. Practice fodder.

Danny Ware isn’t all that great a ballplayer, he also likes to cheat with Husbands wives. What a guy?The truth will set us all free. Is that someone u can trust on a team?

I still think Ware made a bad choice in declaring early for the draft, but this isn’t a bad pickup to keep Houston and the fullbacks on their toes. He isn’t the finished article, so could be a developmental taxi squad option.
