With draft pick David Harris, as well as a number of additions to the roster at linebacker, many have speculated that Jets’ linebacker Eric Barton would be hard pressed to make the 2007 roster. Does he already know this? Read an article from Bloomberg’s real estate section.
The new 215 E. 96th Street, built by Stephen M. Ross’s Related Cos., includes a 26th-floor “junior four,” a one- bedroom apartment with dining alcove that can be converted into a second bedroom. New York Jets linebacker Eric Barton just sold it through Citi Habitats’ broker Paul Anand.
I can’t be sure this is it, but this listing is in contract, and on the 26th floor. There might be any number of reasons why Barton sold the condo that aren’t related to his imminent departure from the Jets, but everything seems to be falling into place saying that he won’t be back.

I guess this sort of ties into Belichick’s investment properties: http://www.nypost.com/seven/02252007/news/regionalnews/sugar_daddy_belichick_regionalnews_susan_edelman.htm

It’s never been lived in, and it’s a condo (vs. a coop). That leads me to believe it was probably just investment property. But the timing is still interesting.
