Wayne, I absolutely agree…D-Rob as a 3-4 DE?!? D-Rob is a hair under 6’1″ and 317 lbs (and I know people here disagree, but his body type is perfect for NT, strong and squatty, his problem was technique, which greatly improved as the season went on). Comparing him to Ty Warren? Does he realize that Warren is 6’5″? If D-Rob would have problems taking on a center and guard, a 3-4 DE has to take on guard and tackle double teams and OT is usually reserved for mammoth linemen, who are in the 6’4″+ range, not shorter squatty guys that are usually centers. Plus, I can’t recall any time that D-Rob played DE, not even on a stunt. He’s psyched for Pouha? He had “motor” issues pre-injury. What exactly has he shown that would lead anyone to believe that he could beat out anyone on the DL? Lastly, Bowens was obtained to balance BT, he’d come in for Hobson in obvious passing downs. Coleman was brought in to be an every down DE…like in NE where Seymour, Warren and Wilfork only leave the field for breathers. And, the knock on Coleman is his run defense, not his pass rush, which is supposed to be good. Geez!!!

I couldnt even finish the NYGM DL post, it really serves only as an incredible example of the lack of football knowledge some people have. And this guy writes a blog?
