So you do not have to waste your time with the link, Mangold is the first and obvious Jet on the future team the other IS (welcome to the team for the next SIX years :)

CB | Darrelle Revis | New York Jets
The Cleveland Browns thought enough of him to have him ranked as a top-five player in the draft this year -- and the Jets thanked their lucky stars Revis was still there at No. 14. He's got excellent cover skills and is a willing tackler.

I don't put an value on people's "lists" to even get upset about it...I usually just glance through them to see if there are any Jets and then move on..lol.

Anyway, the HOF voting is terrible. They can't decide who they want to include so they are inconsistent in their voting...In my opinion they need to have Terrell Davis (even though I hate the Broncos), Derrick Thomas, and Joe Klecko in the HOF even if they had abbreviated careers. They were the best players at their positions for a time and better than other people who played longer and are in the Hall already.

Peter King is living proof that sports writers "know" or "have" nothing special other that it is their job to collect news. This guy , for his age and experience in football, is one of the worst but he has a job because of the "circle".

TOON I agree in some respects, and this came about mostly because of Phil Rizzuto's passing, about how the media's self importance about HOF voting is way off. One thing visitors look at when visiting is not just individual stats but the whole person, the body of work as well as where they came from and where they wound up. I think the greatest criteria for allowing entry into any HOF should be is this a "person" that we would want in - after that stats. Think about it for a second; Pete Rose deserves to be in but he's not a "desirable" candidate. During WWII there are probably 10-20 players that had their careers altered because of their service in the U.S. Armed Forces and yet they are excluded from the hall but anyone would be honored to allow them because they truly sacrificed. Also what about those players that go into charitable work after their career in sports is over. I think it would be in any pro sport's best interest to promote how great their positive impact is on society as a whole but maybe I'm just crazy. I think there should be at least 2 more entries per year to allow for "honorable mentions" who could maybe get a plaque instead of a bust or whatever. But then again we the fans are usually the problem and not often the solution. That is why tickets are so expensive and hot dogs are $5 and salaries are in the millions.

SD99 - the HOF should close its doors until Klecko is on. I am sick of seeing "ESPN" generation guys get in just because they played on a SB champ. Media is already calling Richard Seymour a future HOFer - please

These lists in general are a joke. Otto Graham over Johnny Unitas or Joe Montana? Don Hutson over dozens of WR's, including Don Maynard? Putting Ray Lewis in at OLB to the exclusion of Jack Ham, who was the best traditional OLB (not a pass-rusher, but a guy who played the run and pass) in NFL history? Heck, Ham wasn't even listed as a reserve, but Harry Carson was? I wouldn't even put Carson in the top 10 at ILB...how about Lambert, Seau, Bill Bergey, Gradishar or even the vastly underrated Ken Norton, Jr. (and, I could go on)?
The current and future lists were also amusing, especially Joe Thomas over both Brick and McNeil. Maybe we should see him play first because McNeil is already real close to top 5 and I expect Brick to get better.
Last point, what do Munoz and Hannah have in common (both on PK's list)? They both have stated that Klecko was one of the best DL's they ever faced. But Klecko isn't in the HOF. In my pro football watching lifetime, only Reggie White was a more complete player on the DL and, I know its blasphemy, but Klecko was more of a force than Mean Joe, who was a better run stuffer (and Klecko was awesome), but not the pass-rushing demon that Klecko was. He had a short career in one of the most punishing positions in football...Biletnikoff, Swann and Sayers are in the HOF with similarly short and injury-plagued careers. It's hard to imagine that the only DL to make the Pro Bowl at all three DL positions isn't in the HOF.

Peter King is an (a) ____________ (fill in an insulting adjective here). I am so sick of reading the unfounded garbage he considers journalism and this particular piece ranks up there with some of his finest work...He writes for Antonio Gates "I have no idea what his stats were last year" maybe you should do some reasearch, ever heard of the internet?

Mike Furrey, Maurice Jones-Drew were on his respective reserve WR and RB picks? Are you kidding me? He writes under Antonie Gates' entry that if all the GMs got together and had a fantasy draft that Gates would be the first TE to go, OK I can see that...so are we to assume that as reserve choices Jones-Drew and Furrey should be in the top 5 in their positions to go, as well? How about some insight Pete, maybe Furrey was only this successful last year because of Roy Williams taking the pressure of opposing defenses off of him or because Detroit is in a pass-happy o-system. And maybe Jones-Drew should have at least have a second successful year before being put on the All-Current team!

And don't even get me started on the Bob Sanders and Antoine Winfield picks...is this a joke? Sanders has barely been on the field due to injuries (22 career starts, 4 last year), yet somehow commentators can't wait to tell us what a difference maker he is for Indy's secondary...and apparently PK thought they must have done the research for him! And apparently a CBs willingness to hit and make tacles is enough to qualify him for the All-Current team. Well Chris Hope of TENN had more tackles and ints than Winfield and without the supporting pressure of a great Defensive line, maybe he should make the team as well...I really wish I never read this article, thankfully I was too upset to read the ALL-Time and Future picks.
