And A Hearty Congratulations Goes To…
…commenter Nikolas, whose crystal ball showed him 50 of the final 53 names on the Jets active roster. Way to go Nikolas!
Nikolas’ victory in the TJB Name-that-Squad event was due in part by his prediction that the Jets would carry four TEs – Baker, Ryan, Pociask and Kowalewski – plus TE/long snapper Dearth. He was the only participant to do so.
This exercise also revealed the following:
- Many of you felt Danny Ware earned a spot on the active roster. Most thought Bobby Hamilton and Raymond Ventrone did as well.
- Talk about a long shot — nobody predicted Mike DeVito’s rise to the active roster. Na’Shan Goddard got more respect than DeVito! The former Black Bear must have aced Mangini’s hallway quizzes.
- Many listed Brad Smith as a QB rather than a wide receiver.
- Corey Griffin from NYGreenMachine.com threw his hat into the Name-That-Squad ring. Thanks for participating, Corey!
- TJB regular Will is an honest guy.

Thanks Bassett. But I thought that i missed only 2 out of 53. Bobby Hamilton for DeVito and Ware for Tui. Anyway, I think the site will attract a lot of interest if you run a record prediction contest for the team , just for the regular season, were tiebreakers could be untied by predicting division winners throughout the league. Thanks again!

Goddard signed to Giants practice squad. Three Jet cuts on other teams, not something that happened regularly in the past.
Frisman Jackson remains unemployed, surprisingly.

Nice work, Nikolas!
