ESPN guys got it right re: Pat’s punishment, nothing more than a slap on the wrist. If I were the Cowboys I’d be a bit peeved losing Wade Wilson for five games in addition to his $100k fine. I guess character and integrity only applies to players or not enough owners or sponsors thought much of the incident. Still not sure how one misinterprets the rules following a warning and a formal reminder in the form of a memorandum.
The reality is the NFL is big business and appears to only be concerned with the financial bottom line. If you really believe Commissioner Goodell dropped the ball on this issue, do what you can to indicate your displeasure: cancel your subscription to the NFL network, stop buying NFL authorized products, take a pass on NFL.com, don’t attend Patriot home games. Support your team but avoid generating income for NFL or Patriots directly.
