Its kind of like the difference between A-Rod yelling “a-ha” at the fielder catching a pop-up while rounding third vs. using the center field camera view on the clubhouse tv to steal the catcher’s signs and relay them to the hitter. Gamemanship and poor sportmanship vs. outright cheating.

Newsflash: Billick wants all “Caddyshack” videos and dvd’s recalled so the Caddie Tournament scene can be recut by having Tony D’Annunzio’s supporters not heckle Danny Noonan on the 18th hole putting green by shouting “Noonan” because it’s illegal and against golf’s rules.

Wormfather, after looking at your link, not only are the Jets one of the least penalized teams in the league since 2003, but the Ravens are one of the most penalized over the same stretch. They averaged between 26th and 32nd in penalties except for 2003 when they were 19th in the league. Billick needs to study more game film and get his team better prepared so they don’t commit penalties instead of wasting time with excuses.

Billick is just retaliating for Mangini calling out Belichek’s little spy shop. It’s petty, and it’s probably going to continue quite a bit this season – Belichek no doubt has lots of supporters among the coaching ranks, and they’ll be looking to embarass Mangini and the Jets as often as possible now.

Might have well get used to the bullseye on our backs….

@wayne, not only is he indicting himself, he’s proving to be a horrible leader, you can preface it however you want but it’s an excuse. Penalties are reflectioin of discipline…or lack there of. The Jets may not be talented, but damnit if we’re going backwards, you’ll have to tackle us in the backfield…which hasnt proven to be that dificult so far.

Screw Billick. 2 biggest plays of the game were early on where Coles was intefered with and Refs did not throw flag – that field position changed whole complexion of game. Then, we once again get hised by Refs on the Heap TD – YOU CANNOT REVERSE THAT CALL IF IT WAS NOT RULED A CATCH IN THE FIRST PLACE!!

I guess he didn’t watch the fourth quarter in which his “dominating” team that was “playing so well,” nearly blew the game to a visiting 0-1 team starting a backup quarterback. If I were Billick I’d try to whine less and focus more on the poor play calls and execution by his team with the game on the line.
