Stats: Opponents’ Run Defense

There’s been a lot of talk about the Jets establishing the run.

Just a quick look at the run defenses the Jets have played so far this season (these F.O. stats are as of Week 4) and to the right how many yards the Jets compiled on the ground against those defenses.

Patriots: (-20.8%) — 3rd in NFL (60 yards)
Ravens: (-34.8%) — 2nd in NFL (69 yards)
Dolphins: (24.4%) — 31st in NFL (141 yards)
Bills: (11.2%) — 27th in NFL (60 yards)
Giants: (-11.3%) — 9th in NFL (55 yards)

Here’s a look at the coming weeks ahead for the Jets, a little easier, but still not green fields seeing as they struggled against the 27th best run defense in the NFL for the Jets:

Eagles: (-7.7%) — 12th in NFL
Bengals: (8.9%) — 25th in NFL
Bills: (11.2%) — 27th in NFL
Redskins: (-6.7%) — 14th in NFL
