Strength of schedule is the most under rated factor in any team’s performance. A year ago the Jets had a cupcake schedule in the second half of the season playing mainly against the poorest offensive teams in the NFL. This was explained as the Jets defense adjusting to the 3-4 defense installed by Mangini.
The Giants are now the ‘hot’ team in the NFC with their 6-2 record. Their last four wins in their current winning streak came against the following juggernauts… Jets, Falcons, 49′ers and Dolphins.
Interesting to see how they will fare in the second half with a tougher schedule.

The DVOA page also says that the Jets have the 2nd-toughest schedule the rest of the way. Yay!
On a positive note, our special teams still kick butt – 7th in the league. Without Westhoff and Leon, we’d be firing a bagel right now.
