No way that we are dumping that many defensive players. Overall, that’s A LOT of holes to fill in FA and the draft.

Robertson(63), Vilma(51), Barrett(36) probably, but Thomas(99) just signed to an extension, Barton(50) was just publicly praised by Mangini, Hobson(54) probably is the only other LB with size suitable for the 3-4 next to Harris, and Ellis(93) will be better with better DT support. I’m on the fence about Dyson(21), although I can’t see us dumping him AND Barrett. His coverage skills have been abysmal this year.

And who’s 42? Was that Rashad Washington?

Clemens looked good, the only concern now is that he will not have the benefit of playing with a team that will be giving 110%- it’s only human nature for some players to mail it in with the season they’re having. Unfortunately, this may lower his QB ratings for people who keep stats and like to compare to other QB’s.

Unaffected? Sure.

But maybe the late Leon Hess was onto something. 10-6 without women on the field, 1-8 with? Bring back the utterly ridiculous flag-men!
