I watched basically the whole MNF game last night, as I knew it would be a good one. A good defense with a solid running back against a team with an amazing passing attack and lots of gusting wind? Jackpot.
Here’s some thoughts I had while watching the game ..
- The whole time I was completely conflicted on whom to cheer. On the one hand, I wanted to see the Patriots lose, but on the other hand I wanted them to stay undefeated so that the Jets would get their crack (I know, I know).
- Looking to get any advantage they can, coaches are going overboard with the last second timeouts, and it bit two teams in 36 hours in the butt. First the ‘Skins Sunday and then the Ravens blowing their chance to win.
- Bart Scott throwing the yellow flag into the stands was insane. I’ve never seen anything like that and you can imagine he is going to get a huge fine. For as good as the Ravens are defensively, maybe they are too aggressive and play with too much emotion, which is why I think they are so undisciplined they get penalized so often and then stuff like that happens. Players were screaming at coaches over the timeout thing, then after the last P.I. the refs … Scott had to be bodily restrained from yelling at the refs by Terrell Suggs, that’s totally unacceptable.
- For all the hubbub in Jetsland around Brick by Peter King … anyone see Patriots’ Tackle Matt Light getting abused by Antwan Barnes at the end of the game?
- I always heard that Boller had amazing arm strength and can throw the ball through the uprights from the 50 on his knees, so didn’t Boller he do that at the end of the game?

If you really believe that the NBA has the only crooked ref, and that all the lowly paid NFL refs are honest and don’t fix games, then I have a bridge in brooklyn I will sell you for a very very reasonable price.

Wasn’t he throwing into like a million mile-an-hour wind?
