Revisiting Jets Gate D
Toni Monkovic of the Times checked out the scene at Gate D during halftime Sunday in the Jets’ first home game since the incident broke in the local papers … what do you think she found? Less people? People espousing their moral outrage?
“This is the most crowded I’ve ever seen Gate D,” said Joe Mosca, a 29-year-old from Long Island. “I’ve never seen it like this before in my six or seven years as a Jets fan. The media told everyone about this going on at Gate D. So now people come from A, B and C to come here and see this. The security has not been like this at any other game.”
The funny thing is, with so many empty seats, every fan in the place must have ran to Gate D at the half. Well, apparently, no one got all Mardi Gras, but it seems everyone enjoys checking out a car crash all the same …
