Chris Landry of FoxSports (and formerly a Scout in the League) spoke to WEEI Boston’s Dale & Holley on Thursday. During their conversation (you can hear the whole thing here) they were talking about Matt Ryan, and as you’ll hear, more generally Quarterbacks going from college to the NFL. I’ll let Chris speak for himself, but his timeframe on developing a QB might be somewhat sobering.

I loved the comment “Gourmet meal in microwave time” it’s applicable right here in NY. Look at Eli, he’s had a great O-line, Tiki (until 07), BJ, Toomer, Plax and up until the 2nd half of this year everyone wanted him run out of town, on Sunday he may be the savior. Big Ben looked good taking his team to a Super Bowl but they didn’t have to ride on his shoulders, again a great O-line, the Bus, 3 runs for every pass, and he only had to throw limited routes that played to his strength, he wanted to throw it more but he looked pretty ordinary this year when they let him. So the Jet debate will rage on, my vote, get the O-line some help, improve the running game by doing so, give KC the ball from day one of OTA’s, let Chad push him in competition (if he’s still with us) and give the QB Tom Brady like protection, no more “look out blocks”.
