So apparently Jets Left Tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson was on the Rachael Ray Show yesterday … If she had seen it, that’s just the kind of crossover that could get my wife more interested in watching the Jets … but maybe that’s a blessing (I kid, I kid).
It seems that some players had Super Bowl recipes judged by uberchef Mario Batali. I’m not sure who actually won the cookoff, but if you want D’Bricks recipes for tomorrow, check out the Rachael Ray website for his BLT Dip and Spicy Crabcakes. No word on whether fellow competitor Joey Harrington served champagne as an accompaniment to his main course.
Hey, although he’s not in Arizona playing this week (although he’s spotted here at the NFL Fan experience this week with a bunch of shrieking children), it’s just good to see that D’Brick actually likes fatty foods …
Hat tip to Michael M. (and his wife for watching) for the info!

Cue the unfair scrutiny of D’Brick.
There’s absolutely no coincidence that when Chad Pennington was the Jets’ starter the talk was “wow, D’Brick has improved mightily” and then when Clemens had the starting job it was “omg bust”.
Clemens is skiddish as hell in the pocket, has trouble with blitz adjustments in the no huddle, and loves to walk right into D’Brick when the pocket collapses on the right side.
When the Jets replace the god awful Adrien Clarke and Clemens improves his pocket presence or Chad wins back the job it’ll be much more apparent to the more casual fans how good Brick actually is.

You’re absolutely right Dave, but I still say Anthony already locked up the award for funniest comment of February.

The were fact that Brick appeared on the Rachel Ray Show exemplifies his problem. What’s next? The View?
Brick needs to appear on a show with a little toughness…an edge. Is Springer still on the air?

…………Rachel finished the day with 1.5 sacks and 3 QB pressures.
