NFL is Seeking to Speak With Matt Walsh
According to league spokeman Greg Aiello, the league would like to speak with Patriots former video assistant Matt Walsh. Is the whole taping thing getting re-opened due to dispersions cast over rumors of a Rams practice being taped?
I don’t really see anything coming of this, as Goodell would only do something public if Walsh has concrete evidence … a tape or something along those lines. Walsh would have to give up something tangible, it’s got to more that his words. That being said, should he have something, don’t expect to see Bill Belichick walking the sidelines much next season.
I think the NFL are more worried about preventing Walsh from speaking to Congress than getting any truth.
Unless Specter was grandstanding and doesn’t care (highly likely), he should make sure he goes first or the NFL will make sure there is no story.
