Bent, not to mention Ventrone was great with kids and was always the last guy out there signing autographs during training camp. I guess we have too many high character guys, too.

I forgot to mention about Ray Ventrone's hit on the last kickoff. What a play that was. Shame our roster was so deep we couldn't find a roster spot for him. *rolls eyes*

@Nikolas, DeOssie did make some significant plays. First of all his snaps to Feagles were perfect and he made the tackle on the giants last kick-off.

I posted this elsewhere on TJB, but it belongs here...

I just finished watching the parade from a 3rd floor window in my building on B’way. I threw shredded paper. I took a picture of Eli and Strahan. I endured jokes from my work colleagues about how the Jets will never be in this position.

I feel so dirty.

Yeah, I think you're right. But I made my point, with rookies you have to take the rough with the smooth but at the end, those guys came up big!

SACK...if its the mets vs anyone but the red sox....i root for the mets to go down. I got 2 older brothers, one met one yankee...so we grew up killing each other. the subway series shut my met brother up pretty well....still gives me the "u guys have all stars everywhere" arguement. And of course i answer with "yeah the mets are really clipping coupons". football...same deal...the met brother is giant...the yankee brother is jet. But he has lessened his hatred of the giants as he has gotton older...he is 41 now. He does hate the mets as much as ever though. And a mets sox series he would join me in rooting for the mets. he was rooting for the giants in the supe....b/c he does share the extreme hatred of the pats..but in general he just doesnt hate the giants as much as he used to. AND i agree the fins will always be our number one rival...but since they blow...its hard to hate em as much now.

SD? What if your hatred towards ur no. 2 divisional rival is greateer than crosstown rival? I personally hate the pats more than any team in professional sports(nba, nhl or mlb).
I never cared about cross town rivalry unless it was a division rivalry(Nets and Knicks). For me if the mets dont make it to the wrld series, I dont mind Yankees doing the honors(the more to rub upon them boston folks, especially pats fans).
But maybe living in DC area I dont have to hear from any obnoxious jint-fans.

Bent,

I think it was Webster who fell down on the Moss TD.

As for the Giants vs. Pats controversy I'd much rather see the Giants take it. It's much more gratifying to see a NY team win than a team from Boston. I swear Boston fans are some of the least respectful fans I've ever encountered and have the hugest egos as well. I've also got very good friends who are very happy based on Sundays outcome and although it couldn't be the Jets, I wouldn't take that away from them.

Since I'm old school here, I still consider the Jets' no. 1 divisional rival to be the Dolphins. Under no circumsances would I ever root for the Dolphins in a Super Bowl. Now, you Yankees fans, answer me this, who do you root for, the Mets or the Orioles in the World Series? No Yankees fan that I know would root for the Mets. To me, the Pats are the Orioles of the AFC East, the no. 2 historical rival. You just can't root for your crosstown rival over the no. 2 divisional rival...it's against the rules.

When we got knocked out by the Chargers, all I could think about was "please don't let the Pats run the table". Thank you G-men. I have a new NFC team to root for now.
