Fan-freaking-tastic.
I missed this on the postgame as I was watching local news for interviews with grieving Pats fans … but the payoff at 0:51 in make it allllllll worthwhile. Sure we don’t get everything perfect here at TJB, but then again our diligent staff consists of one person with no real life.
Tilt of the cap (sic) to Emmitt. We hope he’s not made an escapegoat (sic) this offseason by the World Wide (Malapropism) Leader.

It’ll be a great week of highlights on all the sports shows especially the Mohegan Sun Sports Tonight Show on Fox Sports New England. Those guys are so arrogrant I’ll be wacthing them eat their humble pie this week.

enough picking on emmitt. true, he’s bad. but he’s no worse than his old qb. it hurts my ears to listen to aikman abuse the english language the way he does. emmitt only invents words; aikman has invented a whole new tense. everything aikman says is about how the giants played better than WHAT the pats did. am i the only person in america riled by this? or did we just recently add the subjunctive tense to our language?
moreover, i am a little concerned that tiki barber gets made fun of–admittedly not here (and mostly on PFT)–for using “big” words while emmitt gets made fun of for his poor language and grammar. al michaels and aikman are worse offenders in each category, but they don’t get such harsh press. frankly, it seems like there is a racial element to it, an implication that white sports media figures can speak however they want but black sports media figures shouldn’t be too smart or too dumb.
with all that said, i have to admit that emmitt is downright hillarious.
