Sure, the Jets have problems, but a 2-season 8-24 record is Kotite-esque. Even a losing record will put Eric on the hot seat and he should be. It's not okay to lose and if the organization continues to stick with a losing coach, then what signal is that to the players and fans? The flaw in Myers logic is that Mangini will be on the hot seat only if he loses. I think Mangini and Tannenbaum are too good at what they do to put together another 4-12 stink bomb. But, you never know and Bill Cowher is looming out there, ready to take the best job offered. Things like constantly ragging on Eli Manning or calling for Coughlin's ouster? Or mocking the Jets for passing on a "can't miss" Reggie Bush? I bet in an average "season" of sportswriting, he has more misses than a Shaquille O'Neill foul-shooting seminar.
