Belichick Responds to Matt Walsh’s Accusations

Belichick and Pioli are starting to respond to the allegations that former video assistant Matt Walsh is laying at their feet. Belichick the Globe he “couldn’t pick Matt Walsh out of a lineup.” That may be true, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t in on it. My boss’ boss’ boss has no idea who I am, but I still work for him.

“In my entire coaching career, I’ve never seen another team’s practice film prior to playing that team. I have never authorized, or heard of, or even seen in any way, shape, or form any other team’s walkthrough. We don’t even film our own.”

Well then it’s settled! He doesn’t even tape his own … hmm MAYBE BECAUSE HE HAS THE BENEFIT OF KNOWING WHAT’S HAPPENING AT HIS OWN. I’m sure that taping a walkthrough wouldn’t be helpful to your photographic memoried boy genius in the booth for creating a gameplan or changing one …

Scott Pioli also weighed in and said that Walsh was fired because he secretly recorded conversations between himself and Pioli. Walsh’s attorney, said Pioli’s reasoning for the dismissal was a “complete fabrication.”

Well one way or another, people are lying, and I sure hope this gets uglier in the time it takes to figure this all out.

  1. Your sarcasm is right on!!!!!

Belichick is smart enough to have someone else to make the tapes, review the tapes, apply it to a process and benefit, without ever having to see or touch it himself. That makes it very easy to deny the accusation and phrase the language in a response so carefully as to be accurate…very comical!!!

  2. It’s been surprising to see the willingness of Goodell* to risk his own reputation by helping to cover up Belichick’s* misdeeds. His ordering of an FBI agent to dig up dirt on Matt Walsh is likely to led to criminal charges against himself, if not the league. You know the onion is beginning to peel when the Patriots* send out their head coach and GM with wildly misleading statements like these they offered up.

  3. I agree – it is such a belicheater response to say that he didn’t review any tapes and that he couldn’t pick Walsh out of a lineup – as if either of those things matter in this case. If that organization is really innocent, why doesn’t he say “I am sure that no one in the Patriots organization saw any practice or walkthrough tapes”. I guess the answer is obvious – because that isn’t true.
