MarketWatch: Ryan Lilja Extends with Colts

On the verge of free agency, Indianapolis Colts Guard Ryan Lilja has come to terms on a deal. From the AP:

The Colts also announced Wednesday that they have agreed to terms with offensive guard Ryan Lilja. Acquired off waivers from Kansas City in 2004, he has started 43 of 50 games in four seasons. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lilja’s obviously not just interested in the money, but relishes being on a perennial contender, which is one of the reasons I liked the guy so much.

With Lilja now off the market this will likely sweeten deals for players like his lesser linemate, Jake Scott as well as Alan Faneca and Jacob Bell.
