Let us not forget Justin Miller. As to Jenkins, I really like this trade. This will upgrade entire Defense. Although this now creates an issue with DRob. Can he play DE? If so that makes Ellis available. I would pursue LB Pace so we have two good OLBs. As to Offense we need to sign a guard. Hopefully Faneca says yes. Then that leaves ROT to a FA or draft. As a result of Jenkins trade, I am beginning to think that the JETS will trade down in the draft with Dallas. I’m not really concerned that the Jets aren’t going to sign Asante. Would I have liked them to? Of course, but for the price, I don’t know that it was worth it. The hope is that the $10 million he would have commanded can be put to better use at RT, finding another CB who can compete at the #2 or signing an OLB.
