whoever said jets should pass on mcfadden n draft gholston is jsut dumb. otherwise pats draft darren
i do not want to find out what belichek and the pats can do with a guy like mcfadden neither should any of you. jets need an offensive playmaker more than anyone and mcfadden would be perfect instant offense, remember the people who passed on adrian peterson. they cried this season when he torched every team he played. jets cannot let that happen.

dakar, I'd love to see D-Rob for Roy Williams, but I would think it would take D-Rob and a 2nd rounder for Williams (maybe more).

all this for a 3-4 deffense...i hope it was worth it...but...

im glad we got jenkins and signed pouah to an extention...i hope j-vil will have a great future in NO...which will also give us a better draft pick next year...now we wait and see where drob is traded to...maybe drob for roy williams...if so...it means coles is a gonner...and we wait for faneca to sign this contract...so far everything seems to be going good...

A good day so far...let's nail down Faneca, address RT, draft Gholston. Can D-Rob play DE in the 3-4....another Leonard Marshall? or do we deal him for whatever he can fetch?

You can't look back on Vilma...at least we got something for him. Most teams keep a guy in the last year of his contract that wants out and then they get nothing for him. It was the right move to make. I am also in favor of keeping Roberston...restructure his contract...you can't have enough lineman around.

Jets Central is reporting that 1050 ESPN says the Jets are frontrunners for Calvin Pace. If we sign Pace do we still need Gholston? I know we could still use him, but with Ellis and Pace, the need at DE isn't that big. Maybe we trade down and pick another CB.

Today has been a great Jets day. Vilma will end up making the Jets trade look bad, but with injury risks, that's what happens. I hope Macfadden doesn't fall to us, would be tempting, but a mistake. If the Jets pass on Gholston and the Patriots pick him, the Jets will regret it twice a year. The Jets absolutely need a pass rush. I think Robertson shouldn't be traded, unless there is 2nd round value being offered.

In principle this sounds great, but until he gets to NY and inks the deal, I will hold back my full excitement. However, to come out of day 1 of FA, I have to say this is all great stuff. Jenkins, something for Vilma ('09 4 or 3) and Fenaca....who would have thunk it? I am also thrilled we did not spend big on Assante Samuels!!! Let's give some credit where credit is due. Tannenbaum is doing a great job!!!
