Most teams keep a guy in the last year of his contract that wants out and then they get nothing for him. It was the right move to make. Vilma will end up making the Jets trade look bad, but with injury risks, that's what happens. I hope Macfadden doesn't fall to us, would be tempting, but a mistake. If the Jets pass on Gholston and the Patriots pick him, the Jets will regret it twice a year. The Jets absolutely need a pass rush. However, to come out of day 1 of FA, I have to say this is all great stuff. Jenkins, something for Vilma ('09 4 or 3) and Fenaca....who would have thunk it? I am also thrilled we did not spend big on Assante Samuels!!! Let's give some credit where credit is due. Tannenbaum is doing a great job!!!
