One piece of information out there that has two other things entwined.
Number One: There’s been some talk that Jason Taylor will be available as the Dolphins try to trade him. I’ve seen a few questions about whether the Jets should be interested. Let me be clear, Jason Taylor will never come to New York, he hates the team, and hates us fans even more. Here’s what he said about us the fan back in 2004.
“A bunch of them chanting their dumb-ass chant and all that other stuff, being the ignorant fans they are. I said it. I don’t care if they get mad at me or not. They don’t like me anyway. Quite frankly, I don’t care. I’m just being real. I’m telling the truth. You carry yourself with some class, and we’ll talk about you as if you’ve got class. If you want to act crazy and do all the crazy things they do, I’ll call a spade a spade. As long as there’s no harm in the stands or people fighting, have fun and cheer and say your dumb-ass chant.”
Also remember that some fans threatened him in Times Square a few years back, and he had to get a police escort out of the Square.
Number Two: I know that Bill Parcells is playing the full court press on Calvin Pace, but that’s only because he’s clearly riding Jason Taylor out of town. Even though he probably doesn’t like Taylor and wants to cut the associations with the old regime that Taylor stands for, he’s the best person to play in the hybrid 3-4 DE/OLB role. Parcells is only going after Pace because he has to fill that void.
UPDATE: ESPN reports that the reports of Taylor being available in a trade were false and Parcells has stated that the only way he won’t be a Dolphin in 2008 is if he retires. Whether this means Pace to the Jets is more likely or not, we’ll have to wait and see.

Yes class act Bent. This past year he won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. The award, named after the legendary Chicago Bears running back, recognizes the player that does the most for his community . The year before he won defensive player of the year. He is a shoe in for the Hall of Fame. How do you define class Bent?

Personally Id chalk all that small stuff up to a frustrated competitor. Lets hope the Jets get him and the Pats do not. He has never been involved with drugs or gangs or thugs. He plays hard every game despite double teams and as we have agreed helps his community off the field on his days off.

Id love to have Jason taylor as one of our DE’s
I have a great deal of respect for his talents. He is a class act as well. We still have a long way to go to break out of third place in our division especially with the huge lead the Pats have and the moves the bills are making.
