The Jets have been in contact with former Viking (and Chief) Fullback Tony Richardson.
Richardson (6’1″ 238 pounds) is 36, which might not be attractive to most teams, but in Schottenheimer’s offense, where players are shuffled, activated and deactivated on a week-by-week basis, Richardson could be a good fit for the games where they need an extra blocker in the runnig game to pound the defensive line and linebackers.
Fullback is a role that the Jets have struggled in finding a solid contributor. In year one it was BJ Askew, and in year two, it was Darian Barnes, but who was let go in the middle of the season. Richardson has blocked for players like Priest Holmes and Adrian Peterson, so he knows a thing or two about the task the right way. This could be a good move for the Jets, by providing extra depth and experience at the position.

If Richardson has anything left in the tank, adding him would be a huge boost….particularly for short yardage plays.
Forgetting about McFad for a sec, how psyched is Thomas Jones about the Fanaca signing? I’ll be TJ scores this season before week 10

Yes its starting to look more and more like DMC with all these signings and visits including Damien Woody close to a deal. But you have to understand that we cant rush the passer still!!!

if the Jets dont sign him then they should draft Owen Schmitt from UWV
