From a Carolina PSL owner. The Jets really stole one with this trade. The Panther organization was using the weight, Kris's desire to live closer to home in Maryland (?) and a few other excuses to move him. The reality is this- the team was playing poorly last year and he called them out in the locker room with the press present. Of course, it made all the papers and nobody in the organization was happy. But Jenkins was right on both counts- they were playing poorly and he should have called 'em out. Fact is, he could call anyone he wanted to out because he was the only guy showing up week in and week out and putting everything on the field.

One thing Jets fans will never have to worry about- Kris Jenkins comes to play every week. I love the guy and I hope he makes the transition to a 3-4 successfully.

Typical any NEW YORK fan...You guys get a damn steal on a Pro Bowl DT and you still arent happy...I dont know who is worse, you or the filth of the common Eagles fan. Fact is, You got talent, size, and decent speed for a fat a** for almost NOTHING!! What can Carolina get with 3rd and 5th pick?? Maybe a DB and DL from Southern Mississippi Junior College at A&T on the Rock....Be grateful because, yes being a nuisance to the Panthers by running his fat mouth, he his still loaded with talent and one of the best DTs in the game. Again, be grateful for once, you guys got just got away with one.

[...] Okay, most — dare we say all — of you read Mister Mittens, right? So, you probably don’t even need to see this link right here. Still, we thought it was worth at least pointing out that MRM got a chance to swap Five Questions with The Jets Blog about the recent Kris Jenkins for draft picks trade between the Panthers and Jets. Now, we know that’s not fresh material, but when there’s nothing on the home page (because certain f*cks are “working”), well, we have to take care of that. Anyway, you’ll learn all about Jenkins’ four pound a day barbque habit, as well as all the weight loss incentives in his new deal. Kick it.
its impotant for a person to feel appreciated by others...and jenkins is the type of person who likes to feel appreciated by others like most people...and since the jets and us fans feel that towards him...i think he will gladly work hard and be happy he made this move to the jets and that will translate in a really good season for him and us...just my thoughts...

When the deals are announced they give the worst case scenario for the team/best case for the player. This was a very ingenious deal bt Tanenbaum, now Jenkins needs to produce!
