Pro Days: Indiana Rundown
Indiana University had their Pro Day last Wednesday and WR James Hardy drew a larger crowd than usual.
James Hardy (6’5 3/8″ and 217 pounds) had people taking notice at the Combine where he particapted in drills and showed himself well, especially with an impressive 4.47 40 time for such a large target. Due to his Combine results, his workout was light, but he did show better numbers in one area in particular, where he raised his vertical jump from 31.5″ at the Combine to 37″ on his Pro Day.
Corner Tracy Porter, also impressed scouts with a 4.30 40 time as well.

You’re right dakar, I don’t think that he’ll make it out of the first round unless we trade down to the 15-20 range. He would be a welcome addition however as a red zone threat, which the Jets so desperately need. In my opinion, the draft for the Jets will go like this: CB/S, WR, ILB, QB, OL, TE, RB.

Hardy could be a difference maker for us. Whether on offense or defense – we desparately need a difference maker. I would trade down, get an extra number two or three and take him. His stats, versus decent competition, are amazing. I believe he had 14 catches for 142yds against Penn State. I want this guy, bad.

As an Indiana grad, I can tell you I followed Hardy pretty closely the past four seasons. He’s better than Plaxico Burress – and the same type of receiver. Playing for a mediocre team, he was always given more attention by opposition defenses than the rest of IU’s O. Yet he still had great numbers. I agree with a tradedown and then taking him with a mid-first rounder.

we will never get him so dont get your hopes up the 49ers have a serious hard on for him and they is going to do every thing poddible to land him.
unless we trade out and target him theres no way we pick hardy…he’ll be gone in the 1st…just my thoughts…
