Actually, the one disagreement I have with Bullock’s article (no he is not my nom de plume or de guerre), is that a drafted WR will not likely help the team this year.
For that reason, unless the guy is projected as a sure bet who can stretch the field for whoever plays QB some years from now, if we trade down (only 4 spots for a second sounds great to me) I might prefer an OT who could move Woody to guard and Moore to the bench, a CB who could solve our CB position with Revis for the next five years or even a safety (I am one who thinks Elam could use a brain transplant). I even like a solid DE more.
Any of these positions adequately filled will help this team now and in the future.

Moving Woody to RG would be horrendous. He was awful at guard last year with the Lions to the point he got benched in favor of some back up. I think there was an injury at RT at the end of the year and Woody got to play a few games there and looked a lot better. Yea if the Jets can paying him this kind of money he’s playing. At the position he will contribute the most at, that being RT. I really don’t see the Jets drafting OL except later in the draft for depth.

Fabini is still in the League??? Doesn’t he hold the record for getting the most QBs seriously injured (two) in a single game??? No wonder Joe Gibbs quit and the Skins will never challenge anyone in the NFC East.

In the McFadden thread I lamented: “Right now, consensus is set that we’d only be happy if we get Gholston, DMC, or trade down. That seems to be a pretty narrow attitude.”
So what does Bullock write today: “Right now, it is looking more and more like Vernon Gholston, Darren McFadden or a trade down for Gang Green.”
Let’s keep the options open and look beyond who’s ever ranked 2-7 in Basset’s MDM. And remember, to trade down, we someone else who wants to trade up!
