TJB 2008 NFL Mock Draft Muncher 5.0

by Bassett on April 1st, 2008 at 6:00 am

Our latest version of the TJB Mock Draft Muncher is back up, with some interesting changes. To learn more about this version, check after the jump.

Tight Grouping — In the image below (see the link for a better version) you can see that visually, amongst the mock drafts we are tracking Chris Long stands alone as the top consensus, but the four players between Glenn Dorsey (4.47 Average Draft Position) and Matt Ryan/Vernon Gholston (4.89 ADP) the gap is quite narrow.

Scorching Hot — Devin Thomas is still rising draft boards quickly, largely due to the uncertainty about Malcolm Kelly and his inability or unwillingness to run until next week. Other than Thomas, Gosder Cherilus (the BC lineman) has upped his profile substantially.

Jonathan Stewart’s Status — After divulging that the running back might not be ready for training camp, his advisors tried to play damage control as best as possible, but his stock is falling. Stewart might represent a solid value for a team willing to take a chance on him late in the first or early second round.

Fickle Fickle Mockers — Players who tested well at the Combine but had no real business being in the first round — like Jamaal Charles — are getting weeded out of the mocks once again.
