- Alan Faneca took out a full page ad in the Pittsburgh Post Gazzette to say thank you to Steelers’ fans.
- Chad Pennington was back at Marshall to participate in Troy Brown’s camp, and took in a Marshall practice while there.
- Are the Jets in the market for a vet QB? If you mean of the Tuiasosopo variety, I’d say yes.
- Rick Gosselin of the DMN writes about two safe bets at the top of the draft … the Long brothers.
- The potential top CB on the board, Leodis McKelvin is on an extended roadie for the next two weeks
- Ross Tucker grades line positions in order of importance.

It’s better than when Woody Johnson took out a full page ad congratulating the Giants.
Ordinarily I might agree with Ross Tucker about the Jets overpaying for a OL position of lesser importance, however, the one thing that he is not realizing is the improtance of the left guard position to the Jets. The leadership, experience and tutelage Faneca will bring to Mangold and Ferguson is woth every penny they paid for him. The Jets should have a very dominating left side of their OL, and Faneca should really help push Mangold and Ferguson’s development.
That was a class move, all the way. it is good to know that the LG that we are going to support this year, will appreciate the cheers. If the left side turns out as good as I think it will, you’ll see me at the stadium with a Faneca jersey.
You guys are getting a class act and an awesome, blue-collar worker with the work ethic to match. Can’t believe he won’t be wearing black-n-gold this year.
