David Harris was asked by newyorkjets.com reporter Eric Allen his thoughts on the defense getting radio helmets just like the offense.
“I was excited. It will help the defense out a lot especially in two-minute drills and no-huddle type situations … a lot of times the defense is scrambling to get back and you still have to get the call and get it to everybody,” Harris said. “The coach has to relay it to the guy giving signals and the guy who receives the signals has to relay it to either a linebacker or the safety.”
Harris went on to say that he didn’t care who gets the new toy, just as long as the defense gets to use it. As the team’s signal caller since October and an every down player, it’s likely that Harris or Kerry Rhodes will get the radio-equipped helmet.

I would love to know what the patriots vote was on the radio helmet for the defense… haha
