TJB Draft Meetup (4/25 Friday Edition)
Ta-da! Finally, we have a plan for the weekend!!
If you’re in or near NYC or are willing to travel to get there I want to invite you to come have a great night with me and other fellow Jets fans Friday night April 25 — the eve of the Draft. We will be trying to pull together another event Saturday night after the Draft as well … as that British sot Bent will be in town that morning. I’ll have more details on that one tomorrow.
The night is purely about meeting other TJB readers & writers, having some fun over a few drinks and perhaps giving a few prizes away to those in attendance. We tried this last summer at Training Camp and had a great time — so bring a friend (or ten) and look forward to a great time!
The Details:
Date – Friday April 25th
Time – 7pm – 10pm (we might go on from there)
Location – MCFADDEN’S (yes, I just jinxed it!) – 800 2nd Ave (2nd & 42nd)
Cost – $35 for all the mixed drinks & draft you can handle, lightweight.
Right now, I am trying to get a basic count for folks at McFadden’s so if you are seriously interested in attending, mark your calendar and please holla back in the comments. I’ll set up a slightly more formal process over the next fews days.
Again if you can’t make this, don’t despair … this isn’t the only thing planned for the weekend, so stay tuned for more info!

Ah, good old McFadden’s. You know this place gets jam packed on Fridays, especially at happy hour. But I’m sure we’ll be able to spot the green and white in the room without a problem.
I suggest we use this gathering as an excuse to drink green beer for a second time this year.

I’m much more familiar with Aqualung the band than Aqualung the song.
You learn something new everyday. I’m sure Bassett taught me another word for “drunken behaviour” (sic) once too, but I can’t remember what that was.
