There is no way that Miami takes Gholston #1 overall.

I for one want Henne off the Jets radar. I’ve got two words for you that will make any Jets fan cringe: “shoulder injury.” I don’t care how he did in the bowl game, I don’t want another QB with a shoulder injury on his resume. Besides, I think KC will be fine now that the OL will be keeping him upright (I hope).

Brohm’s injury was on the non-throwing shoulder.

Slightly off topic here, but why doesn’t anyone think Leon Washington can be the Jets’ Tiki Barber now that they have a decent line? That would make taking McFadden unnecessary

Henne started 45 games, and if past history is to believe, he’s the safest quarterback pick in the draft. I would think that his completion percentage would limit his upside, so that you’re talking about a guy who won’t bust but who has very little chance of being a top player, either, and I’m not sure if the quarterback situation mandates taking that kind of player (as opposed to somewhere like Atlanta, where Henne would make a lot of sense).

I’m okay with Brohm because his injury was to the non-throwing shoulder. I think we have enough evidence between Chad and Fiedler to know a shoulder injury to the throwing shoulder is more critical. Not to mention the fact that Henne also injured his ankle earlier this year. If that is happening in college, how much punishment can he take in the NFL where they hit harder and faster?

Ummm, I love Leon Washington but I’d be shocked if he was our Tiki Barber.
Leon is awesome when he gets a little space, but Barber had the ability to bounce off people and seemed much more steady on his legs.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but while I see Leon as a great open-field runner, he goes down like a ton of bricks when he is touched. Kind of reminds me of Felix Jones’ highlight film from Arkansas.
I think Leon is extremely similar to Jones: extremely quick and fast, great on kick and maybe punt returns, and not the guy you want getting as many carries as Tiki got in his prime.

Sorry for this draft rage. Unless it is the deal of a life time I do not want them drafting a RB this year. RT (has anyone heard of Bender’s progress? Is that just a joke?), ILB, CB, WR, DL that is what we need. Jones and Washington can hold the fort for a year. The WR pick is so that he will have a head start at development over one picked next year. We need more picks! Grumble, grumble, rabble, rabble. Go Jets
