I’m starting to think all players start out as receivers :) If they cant catch they become DB’s and if they are not fast or weigh too much they become TE’s! Not true since QB’s are probably the most converted position out of but it’s still kind of funny. The Rams shouting out that Long is their guy is like a starving kid staring into a resturaunt window looking at parcells stuff his face! And for desert he will take the guy they wanted in the second round as to. Is Gumbel really the worst or are they just being sarcastic??? Maybe he wasnt “Black enough” but what the hell does that have to do with his broadcasting? John Madden has to be the worst! He like…. “The center snaps the ball to the QB… you see he puts the ball between his legs and the QB takes it… That’s how we use to do it back in oakland.” I love that he is a football guy and I really like the Madden games but his game coverage from a technical standpoint is god awful! I loved Ronnie Lott as a brodcaster but he wasnt one of the “cool” guys and got booted. Deion???…. Please!
Gumbel’s voice was way too squeaky and he continually … Continually got spots wrong, missed first downs, etc etc etc.
NFL Network is by far the worst broadcast with Gumbel and Collinsworth.
I’d prefer to see Eisen, Sanders and Mooch call the plays.
