DR will end up being traded for a 5th or 6th round pick on draft day. I think he’s worth more, but nobody wants his knees or contract…and he can be had on the cheap draft day.

I think he is a good 4-3 player, and will do well for another team.

The way Williamson writes it, the Broncos have already hammered out a deal with D-Rob. That’s news to me, but it finally looks like the wheels are turning on this thing. If we can just pick a couple of extra draft picks–so the FO can have the flexibility to stock pile 34 guys or move-in on first day players they love (a la Harris and Revis)–and clear Roberstons cap charge, that would be a major coup. Players (especially of Sheppards ilk) and first day picks would be some unlikely, but very much appreciated cherries on a long awaited sundae.

The front office will wait for draft day, see who is available at six and then if it makes sense, make the trade and bring in Lito.

Make the trade and bring a pro bowl corner in to play opposite of Revis! With any kind of pass rush we could be really good against the brady passing game this year!

Actually, Najy, Sheppard’s contract runs to 2011 and is approximately 4m per year on average.

We will probably be in the same cap situation as I am assuming it will cost a few pennies to bring sheppard to the Jets. Great trade though if we can make it happen since it will get rid of robertson and bring a needed CB with superbowl experience to our team.
