PSA: What’s the Story This Week?
So what’s the story with TJB this week?
This week is going to be rather hectic, and although I’ve thought it through in my mind, I wanted to give you readers my plans are so that you can know what to expect from the blog, as the week progresses — especially during the Draft and for the plans to meetup with those of you interested.
I am travelling to New York to visit family tonight until Friday morning, at which time I am heading into the city to meet up with the folks at SNY, do some work for them and the blog, and prep for Saturday.
Friday Night I would really like to meet up with as many of you as possible at McFadden’s on 42nd. For $30 bucks, it’s all you can drink for three solid hours and we’re planning on kicking off at 7PM — who knows, maybe you’ll even get some swag — you can’t find a better deal in the city!
That said, I need to know if we have at least twenty folks … so if you are planning on attending, please email me at thejetsblog@gmail.com. I know a number of you are in email me anyway please, but I wanted to check and see if we still have the numbers or need to re-set expecations with McFadden’s.
As for Draft Day, I will be at SNY studios a majority of the day, but have the freedom to wander around some, hopefully interview some fans — maybe even a player or two should anyone stop by the SNY set. Most of the TJB crew will be in for Saturday (Bent, R in CT, Drack, D-Rose & more) and after the draft ends, we’re planning on meeting up at Johnny Utah’s right near Radio City, which sounds fun. Although I might not be in the Hall for the draft, I’ll be paying rapt attention and blogging about all my experiences all day.
Although the timing is fluid for Saturday, I think we can use Twitter to set up an impromptu meeting time at Johnny Utah’s … if you don’t have an account, sign up and follow thejetsblog and I will have more information later on how to make this work with your Mobile Device so you can get on-the-spot updates.
Sunday we’ll have to see how it goes, but I would like to get at least through Round Five before heading back to Massachusetts.
