Rumor: Liking Ryan is news to the Lions.
Validity: I’m sure the Lions like Ryan, but maybe not enough to trade for him. With Jon Kitna as a competent QB for now, the Lions could be looking to the future again, but Joey Harrington’s champagne flavor might have left a bad taste in their mouth for high draft picks.
My Thoughts: I love that Kowalski basically slams Peter King for jumping however high Tom Condon orders … Kowalski’s logic seems the most easily explained situation on how PK got the information on Matt Ryan and who’s interested. I saw Tom Condon at Matt Ryan’s Pro Day … to quote Jerry Seinfeld … “I’ve looked into his eyes … he’s pure evil.”
The Lions better look at a QB in this draft. Kitna will not give them another 3 years of decent play. (just enough time to groom the future franchise QB)
They still have Drew Stanton. He looked capable in college.
