Carter — “Pennington Bites”

by Bassett on April 27th, 2008 at 4:59 pm

I was out jiucing up my laptop in Radio City when the Jets fans in the mezz were bantering with Chris Carter. After saying that the Jets didn’t have any receivers (ummm Cotchery and Coles anyone???) the fans continued the banter and then the Jets fans started up again when Ainge was drafted and they were talking about quarterbacks. The fans started talking about their QBs now …

Jets Fans: We’ve Got Pennington!

Cris Carter: Pennington bites!

Bent seems to think it’s some sort of new snack food that the QB might be endorsing …

Chad Pennington is Woody Johnson’s face of the franchise. His place on the team is secure regardless of his inability to a) win football games, or b) lose football games without endangering the lives of his teammates.

Cris Carter is a clown…he also said that after getting Matt Ryan, the Falcons should have picked another quaterback in the 2nd

His days as a starter are over, but Chad will collect a pay check, whether it’s for the Jets or another team, for at least another five years.

Pennington does bite…he can back up Clemens but Clemens should definitely be the starter at this point

Why is everyone turning on Chad, he is not a bad QB, he just didn’t have the OLine last year for his style of play, and our run game was less then great last year, ya ok Jones had a thousand yards but he was inconsistent especially against good defensive teams-again Oline. Carter is a bitter individual and is very critical of others because he believes he has the reserved right to criticize because of his past accomplishments, he was a good WR, but he didn’t have a consistent stellar career, not many players do. Chad has a nagging injury that causes many to question if he can spread the field with his arm strength- well he did when he came back in 06 “comeback player of the year” if I remember correctly.
This year will be interesting, the Oline went from poor to good maybe great, the receiver got a pick up with Keller and Henry which Keller will help Coles who will see allot less over the top double teams going his way and finally our D defiantly will enhance we will now force allot more 3 and outs and will help with field position. With that said Chad is in a very favorable position to be the starter again. PS Ainge was a Great pick at 5

  8. I agree with Jason. CP is no Peyton Manning but to those of you who think he’s a bum – wake up. It was our Oline last year that did the real biting and that trickled down to the entire offense and even the OC. Tom Brady would bite with that Oline.

The QB competition is on, may the best player win.

    Based on what!?!?!

Chad had more TDS, less INTS and averaged more yards everytime he dropped back to throw. So he has a weak arm, but he still gets more yards per throw than Clemens. MORE YARDS PER THROW. Is that really so hard to comprehend? What are you basing your opinion on. What have you seen from Clemens, the worst passer rating in the NFL? Most jets fans are retards.
