Ainge is a four year starter in the SEC who improved radically his junior year and played very well again his senior season. He's 6'5", and his offensive coordinator, who was also Eli and Peyton Manning's coordinator, thinks he has a future in the league. He very much fits the profile of late round guys who develop into starters- Brady, Anderson, Hasselbeck, Bulger, etc.

He was tremendous value where he came off the board. Doesn't mean he'll play anytime soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if at the very least he ended up fetching a first day pick down the road.

Why Ainge? There are quarterbacks out there not to mention the two we have. We are VERY shallow at OT and C. Carl Nicks was picked 2 spots later. That was an OT rated in the second round. With him, we have a back up for Woody AND Mangold (Woody swaps to C and Nicks pops into RT). Don't we have a former Nebraska coach?
