  1. i guess now where putting together our practice squad were getting better as a whole franchise.

  2. johnson actually looks like a nice pick-up. maybe callahan remembered him from the osu-nebraska game.

  3. johnson does sound like he’s got something to prove…
but then again all the undrafted free agents feel the same way…time will tell…just my thoughts…

  4. Just curious, why are they signing so may running backs?

  5. I was reading the web andI found this article of the free agents in one of the Jets page and i felt compeled to share with my other Jets fans:

    Jets sign RB Jehuu Caulcrick

    By Craig Thomas

One of the Jets better undrafted free agent signings could turn out to be Michigan State RB/FB Jehuu Caulcrick
The 6-0, 254 pound Liberian could give the Jets the short yardage back they are lacking.
For a guy his size, he moves very well, and can be very difficult to bring down. With a decent camp, Caulcrick has a decent chance to hang around.

Jets sign Wagner CB Al Phillips

The Jets have signed Wagner CB Al Phillips.

The announcement was made by the school

The 6-1, 195-pound Phillips also returns both kickoffs and punts for the Seahawks. His kickoff return average (27.6 ypr) was tops amongst NEC players and his punt return average (11.2 ypr) ranked second.
Shortly after the draft concluded, Phillips received a call from Jets’ secondary coach Jerome Henderson. “He indicated that I would have a good chance to make the team and that they are definitely interested in me as both a special teams players and as a cornerback,” said Phillips. “I am excited about competing for a spot on an NFL team. It’s a great opportunity and I intend to show

AU Wide Receiver Heading to NFL Camp

Auburn University’s Prechae Rodriguez will have a chance to play

The reason for choosing so many running backs is to have a clear view of what each one is capable of, to see their weaknesses, strengths, and from there pick the one or ones that are up to the expectation of the team. That is for a job interview many can go but only a few are choosen for the job who have the abilities, preparedness and mind to be able to handle the job as required.

  6. Another reason so msny RBs are brought in is to provide fresh legs throughout camp. And every once in a while, you catch lightning in a bottle.

  7. How about Jets getting Danny Woodhead, his stats reflect that of a possible second or third rounder if he came from a big school, I say this because he wouldn’t have had all those yards between fighting for position with other RB’s and the level of game, however he can developed into a good player for the JETS, in his current college level of competition he is the best, with some time in the gym and better ball handling skills he can earn a slot on the starting roster, Special Teams 3rd slot in the future with the RB’s with some touches. Great free agent pick up. Check out stats, he is # 30

  8. This WR Alan Turner is a solid player. Saw him play in few games in college, his routes are crisp, speed is decent, and has great hands. He’d be a good pick up as a sub at reciever.
